Biography
I am a 22-year-old, country singer/song writer. I am a native of Burma (Chin) and I've been here in the states since I was 8 years old.
I am also a polio survivor. I got diagnosed with the Polio disease few days before my first birthday. Not one single doctor expected me to live, but through a miracle I've been given a sec ond chance by God to live my life to the fullest.
Throughout all the difficulties and rejections I went through, in my short 22 years, I believe God put music in my life for a purpose. Music was what got me through all of my problems. I found comfort in music since I was a little girl.
I basically grew up in hospitals, as far as I can remember. I was also never allowed to attend school with the other kids my age because of my polio disease. I was discriminated against for not fitting in with the “norms” (I was very lonely growing up). I started performing at age 4 anywhere I could; in front of my fellow hospital patients, family members, family friends, neighbors, and strangers.
Growing up was really hard for me with social life, school, and etc. As a 22 years old girl with polio disease i've encountered many hardship throughout the years and I've experienced a lot of hurt in the past. I get hurt easily and as a human being I don't like the feeling of being pushed or being put down. But what I've learn so far is that in life, you'll always have some people that will try to bring you down no matter what you do. The best thing you can do is hold on to God, keep smiling, keep your head high, don't let others get you down no matter what and keep moving towards your goal with God.
I am a firm believer in standing up for yourself and what you believe in. I believe that sometimes when people crossed certain limits, which I don’t think is right, and so i don't like to just sit there and not say anything. I am not afraid to admit if I am scared, if I am in pain or to say what is on my mind. Personally, I also believe that keeping your emotions and everything trapped inside of you is very unfair, especially to yourself, so to say what you feel and how you feel about something or someone when its necessary is very important. And this is why i ever started writing my own music and I've discovered how much of a freedom it is to do so.
I picked up the guitar at 16 and I’ve been writing ever since. I am inspired by two specific artists; Shania Twain and Taylor Swift.
I've always been fascinated by unique instruments sounds, i love the sound of banjos, violins, fiddles, dobros, harmonicas, mandolins, and my favorite of all time is the sound of Zithers.
I want to inspired people with my life story and with the talent God has given me. I especially want to inspire those who may be unfortunate with a visible disability, like myself. I want to be an inspirational to people and reach out to those who believe they can’t do something because of whatever reason he/she might be holding back from.
Just like what music has done for me my whole life, I want my music to touch people’s heart and I want my songs to comfort people in whatever situation they’re in. I want to encourage everyone to go after their goals and dreams in life. Life is too precious to wait around. ☺
Well that pretty much sums it up for me, thank you so much for taking your time reading this long bio. I know this is ridiculously long, and thank you for giving your time of the day to read my bio and listen to my music. There is not really any other words than to say thank you and i love you for your love and support.
God bless
